The first-generation of computers (1960) operated through circuits and electronic valves. The first computers weighted around 27.000 kg and occupied entire rooms and had very little process. The second generation of computers (1970) were still large but did not occupy half the space of the first generation, had better processing. The third generation of computers (1980) was already very compact, can fit in a desk and had much better processing it was in that period that the chips were created and the use of personal computers began. The fourth generation of computers (1990 to present) are the computers of now, which are very compact has very good processing and has more user friendly software.
